World Series Champions
The World Series began in 1903. Prior to that, only AL and NL Champs were crowned, but the fans were deprived of the ultimate answer; "Who is the best team in the league?" In 1903, the league decided to provide a forum to answer that obvious question, and the World Series was born. The long grueling season is a challenge, and then at the end the two best teams must battle it out in a monumental test of skill and endurance as they need to crown a champion after their bodies are spent, their managers are ready to rest, and their fans want to know if their team can be the best. Nothing better in the world than the World Series.
And because of that, we are proud to highlight the endeavors of past champions so that we can remember the days of yesteryear.
